Traditionally this is how yoga was taught— one-on-one. Private sessions are the perfect way to receive the detailed personal instruction you need to gain the most benefit from your yoga practice.
Private sessions are helpful when:
You’re a Beginner
You want to get started with a yoga practice at your own pace in a supportive and nurturing environment.
You’re Experienced
You want to take your practice to the next level, work more in-depth, or explore specific areas of interest
You have an Injury
Knee, or shoulder pain or injuries; or you have health concerns such as stress and anxiety, arthritis, chronic headaches, or fibromyalgia
You want to Enhance
You want to add yoga to your weight-loss or strength-training program or increase your mental focus for a specific sport or activity
You want to Increase
flexibility, balance, or strength; or target specific areas like tight hips or hamstrings, or weak knees.
New Students
If you’re new to yoga you’ll learn basic breathing techniques and postures that are the foundation of yoga. You’ll practice at your own pace in a supportive environment where all of your questions are answered as they arise. Modifications for poses will be carefully chosen for you and offered as needed. Find your individual comfort zone where you feel relaxed and confident as you learn.
Experienced Students
A quarterly check-in or series of private sessions offers the perfect opportunity to evaluate and set goals, address concerns, and create a personalized yoga practice that is uniquely tailored to your needs. You’ll be motivated to deepen your practice when you work one-on-one.
Kim’s approach to teaching yoga guides you to develop a practice that is tailor-made for you. She works with a diverse range of students in both age and ability and enjoys the opportunity to help each individual explore yoga at their own pace. Most importantly, she encourages you to start where you are and move with mindfulness and compassion to achieve your goals.
Private classes are also available with some of the regular teachers on our schedule. Please call the studio to inquire about availability.
How to Schedule
Private Sessions
Scheduling is easy! Click on the schedule session button on the right to choose dates and times. Please contact the studio at info@thestudioforyoga.com or 856-430-1116 to schedule a time for semi-private sessions.
Forms of payment accepted include cash, check, or Venmo. To pay by credit card contact the Studio regarding a PayPal invoice.
Package Rates
The benefits of yoga increase greatly when practice with a teacher is consistent and ongoing.
To help facilitate the commitment to a regular practice we offer a discount of $50 to anyone who purchases a series of five private sessions in advance.

Private Class Policies
Cancellations more than 24 hours prior to a scheduled session will receive full credit toward a future private class. Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled session will be charged in full.
