Studio Etiquette
Please place shoes on the shoe rack or mat in the lobby or in the cubbies in the Studio.
Please keep personal belongings off the practice floor. There are cubbies and shelves to place your phones, keys, wallets, purses, etc. This is to maximize floor space and for your safety and the safety of your fellow students. Stepping on personal items barefoot is no fun.
Speaking of phones…please store your phone on silent with your belongings on the shelves, we are on our phones enough throughout the day, they are a distraction in class and it’s disrespectful to your teacher and fellow students to be on it. If there is an emergency and you need your phone with you for some reason, please let the teacher know.
Please be mindful of those around you and honor fellow students who seek a peaceful space for meditation and centering. Before class begins, quiet conversation is welcome—just keep it to an “inside voice” to maintain a tranquil atmosphere.
During class, we kindly ask that you refrain from talking. Even a whisper can pull others out of their flow, break concentration, and disrupt the calm energy of the space. Let’s work together to create an environment where everyone can fully immerse in their practice.
Thank you for your mindfulness and respect for the community.
